Johnny Rockets @ The Curve

So we decided to go to The Curve for a change.

My sister heard of this place called Johnny Rockets where the entire layout was like a diner in the olden times,
WHO WOULD WANT TO MISS THE CHANCE TO TRY THAT OUT?!

So we made our way to Johnny Rockets - The Original Burger :P

True enough, its layout was like those diners, they even had a JUKEBOX! :O

So they opened at 11am and we made it there quite early and had put our names on the waiting list.
They opened the "diner" with a dance. ALL THE STAFF DANCED. TO A SONG. FROM THE JUKEBOX.

It was a good start, I must say. A good way to get the customers all excited to try out the food!
They then started seating hungry customers who were on the waiting list, chronologically.

We were number 13. After we heard the person before us being called, we waited for our turn. And waited. And waited. For half and hour

The worst part was that there were STILL empty seats. And sure enough, customers started complaining. They explained that this was their way of quality control because they are not a fast food restaurant, but half an hour.

How did we know though, that we waited half an hour? Oh, they had a very good clock! Another performance was given at half hour intervals. Again, that was a good feature of theirs, but the least they could do was seat the people first. Instead of entertaining the crowd (they probably were entertaining the already seated ones but not the ones waiting), they should just fill up their booths first.

So after the wait, we were finally seated. But because we were waiting in line for quite a while, we already decided what we wanted to eat.

Sis and I decided to share a milkshake and I decided to order their Bacon Cheddar burger.

Again. Guess how long we waited for the food? Another half an hour. We watched another energetic performance from the staff and even though it was a catchy tune and dance, it was starting to get on the nerves.

LUCKILY, the milkshake was DELICIOUS. There was just something about this milkshake that was really good, and it brought the excitement back up as we waited for the food.

*Do note however, even though the service time was really slow, the service that the waiters give are really good. They were really friendly and were constantly smiling and helpful.

And my Bacon Cheddar Burger came not long after the milkshake! It was like a "Finally!! Can't wait to try!" moment. The waiter also drew a smiley face with ketchup on a dish for us to eat with our fries! :) Things were looking much better at this moment.

I bit into it, it was good, but not as good as I thought.

My opinion was that it was just a normal burger, and honestly for the price I was paying, it wasn't worth it. BurgerLab was probably more worth it. They did have something I have not tried in a burger before though, they used potato buns.

The ratings I would give is:

Service: 8/10 (the waiting time took points away)
Food: 6/10
Price: 4/10
Overall: 6/10

It's not a place that I would frequently go to, but maybe once in a LONG while. If you have not tried it though, at least give it a shot. The experience of the staff dancing and the environment is something to look forward to!

You can find them at: G52, The Street, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara.

Look who flew in the window!

So I have a Churpie.
AND I'M LOVING IT.

It's adorable-ness just makes me feel like hugging it and never letting go.
I've been wanting this every since I saw it.
And the fact that you can't buy it makes me want it even more.

I know this blogpost is unrelated to society and how life has been.
But I feel guilty for leaving my blog unattended for so long due to assignments and such :/
I PROMISE I WILL TRY TO BLOG MORE

As the year starts to come to an end,
I realise that it starts to get more hectic
and assignments are just so many.

So now CHURPIE WILL ACCOMPANY ME >=]
I missed the Nuffnang FoodFest because I thought that I couldn't eat anything without the app :/
But I only found out that I could after I got home...
#badluckjessica

But I will try to go for the Churpout2013 AND I AM EXCITED!!!
I went for Churpout2012 and I had so much fun meeting all the bloggers,
hope that one day I'd be as awesome as them *crosses fingers*

So see you guys there? :)

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY CHURPIE ❤

Hello my little Boredom!

Greetings from CPU in Taylors!
Classes are really light today, so I decided to blog and resurrect this for a while :3

It's suppose to be cross-dress day,
but I sorta fail trying to be a guy,
there are some hot girls today HAHAHA

There's been a craze for this video,
named "What did the fox say"
IT'S CRAZY.

Trying to figure out what to do with my life now,
it's been such sleepy morning's.

What to dooooooo....

Something New with Style ;)

So ever since I started Media Arts,
I've been playing around with photoshop.

Recently I learnt how to use Illustrator, now moving on the photoshop.
(I'm sorry that I couldn't really learn just from YouTube, but I did try)

This was when I was really obsessed with Despicable Me 2,
I still didn't get the chance to watch it :(

But I was also just beginning to really try out photoshop :)

And this was what I did for my assignment for Media Arts,
in case you couldn't see,

It's meant the write J Designs.
The white space forms the "D" hahah

(But do let me know whether you can see it or not :) I would love some feedback!)

And, you would've seen this because I used this for my TEDxKL event :)
Simple design, but looks nice enough for me :D

Amazing what photoshop can do!
I'm learning more now because my cousin is really good at it too!
We now have so much more in common and our bond grows closer :P

Well,
I'm sorry for having nothing to post about lately
been pretty caught up with college :(
But if I do have any more designs I would really love to post them up here!! :D

Eye Opening; TEDxKL2013

The banner says all :3

I've been trying my hand at designing and photoshop,
so YES. I made that.
But the background picture was taken from the website itself :)

SO.
I'm sure you Malaysians would've heard of this event,
because I overheard some people saying they were from Penang and came all the way just for this
:O

btw, this took place in Mid Valley Megamall Exhibition Hall :)

It all starts out with registration, and the counter was open at 10.30am and there was already a giant queue ._.

But we were actually already fortunate enough to be one of the early ones cause the line just got longer.
There were about 1.8k people!!!

Since the event ACTUALLY starts at 1pm,
there were booths set up so you could check them out,
or just sit on a DOOF beanie listening to these people singing.

Each participant were given a goodie bag!!! :D
I chose red :P

and HiSHOP were giving out free gifts too!
Talk about awesome :3

There was also a "BEFORE I DIE" wall,
where you just get chalks and write down your wishes :P

At about 12.30pm,
we decided to go wait at the entrance.
This was what we had to go through ==

This was the problem.
PEOPLE. WAS. JUST. SHOVING.

They didn't even follow a queue.
People just rushed in like they were escaping from a zombie apocalypse!
(Okay, over exaggeration there :x)

Got in,
found ourselves some satisfactory seats
and just waited while staring at the screen.
Waiting.

p/s: It was my first TEDx event, so I was really REALLY excited!!!

There were three sessions,
and 12 speakers.

Unfortunately,
I did not know any of them.
But they still caught my attention and ideas and inspirations were still flying across the room.

Each speaker had their own "SketchPost"
I think they had someone sketch while the talks were going on.
I only took a photo of Zung's because...

1. There were TOO many people just... crowding x.x
2. His talk was one of the most inspiring, showing you that as long as you have the passion, everything else will come :)

When he talked about his life,
I teared when I saw the pictures.
(THANK GOD THE ROOM WAS DARK)

But seriously, I teared :')

Of course,
the other speakers were just as amazing.
There were all sorts of ideas:
1. Rubber Recycling
2. Curing Brain Cancer with NDV
3. Glowing Plants (IT'S REAL.)
4. Space based Solar Panels
5. 3D printer

and so many many more!

This is an artwork from another artist,
which amazed me and she showed me that you don't need to follow the rules.
Use your out of the world ideas and you can create the most beautiful pictures :)

psst: She did that scene on the place out of cucumbers btw :3

There were plenty more artwork and honestly,
I was hoping that I got the chance to get a headshot,
but.. 1.8k people wanted to as well,
so I gave up queueing :(

Looking through all their artwork and photography was amazing.
Don't ask me why,
it just magically connects :)

Hahah I sound so.. philosophical @.@
But I'm not. I just like the works.
Everyone has their own tastes right?

That was TEDxKL for me.
A real great experience.
Can't wait to go for TEDxYOUTH now :3

If you are interested, you can visit their youtube page and watch videos of all the talks :)

Bon Odori 2013 ❤

I know this is late,
but I went for Bon Odori FOR THE FIRST TIME.

I've always wanted to go and see what it was like,
cause I like Japanese culture :3

So here's an awkward smile for the day xD

I went with 2 friends,
and met up with a few other people too! :D
Who knew so many of them were planning to go~

Met the guy in a yukata~
I wish I wore one, but I didn't have any and I had no cash :X

The lady who brought me here :3

By the way,

The Bon Odori festival was held at Matsushita Stadium in Shah Alam :)
Or Panasonic Stadium.

The rest of the photos were taken by my camera,
and I'm sorry for my bad photography skills.

There were so many cute kids wearing yukata's there I can't even...

The kids wouldn't just stay still for a picture though :/

There were a taiko performance too!
I have never seen such HUGE taiko's because I've only played the ones in the arcades
#failjess

And then,
there was the stage where the dancing takes place *plays grand opening music*

For those who don't know,
Bon Odori is a festival that is somewhat like the Chinese "Ching Ming" festival,
where they celebrate their ancestors etc.
So you can't cosplay or be disrespectful by overexposing your skin or something lid dat.
There will also be dancing where the dancers will be up on that stage and the people are welcome to join in as the moves are quite easy to follow.

You can just go and dance with your friends and family,
ITS REAL FUN!

OR

You can just bring along a picnic mat and sit on the grass chatting and bonding with your friends while you watch the dances and performances :D
Though I would suggest bringing along your own snacks/meals cause some most of the food there are quite expensive.

Though this year's festival is over,
you can always go next year :3

It was a great first experience for me~
Hope to see you there next year! :D

Holy Mama of Burgers :)

When I started college,
I started eating burgers more frequently.
This was cause of the short breaks we had and the fact that we needed fast food T_T

College makes you fat.

I blogged about Crayon Burger before...
and it was actually a real interesting burger experience.

So there was another popular burger joint in town,
and I was pretty sure almost everyone would've heard about it,
cuz I constantly saw people post on instagram.

I wasn't able to try them out at first because:
1. I did not know where it was
2. I heard that it was real crowded and the queue is crazy T^T

But one fine night, after my Japanese class,
my parents and lil' sis wanted to try :B
Lucky me :DD

This was the queue. It was till the outside of the shop.
Can't say much about the space though :X
It was small.

Maybe when they earn enough they will make it bigger? :D

But the queue moved pretty fast so it didn't take a long time to order and there were also friendly staffs to help you pick out the burger of your choice when you are overwhelmed by the awesome looking menu.

Seriously,
you would feel like trying every single one of them out.

Took a picture of the wall while waiting for our burgers :D
It wasn't that long a wait either,
the kitchen was moving quite fast despite the number of orders they were receiving.

Just look at all the busy staffs
preparing those delicious burgers :')

We decided to have a take away because the place was already filled and there was no place you could just sit and eat.
It was like being sardined between people you don't even know and all of you would be trying to enjoy the burger :B

And I was not disappointed.
And this isn't due to the fact that I was hungry either,
because I already had my dinner when we bought this.

I ate it out of curiosity and gluttony.
We ordered 2 "Beautiful Mess"'s, a "Kick in the Face" and an "A+"

Beautiful Mess was definitely beautiful and a mess.

With such beautiful burgers comes with "beautiful" prices.
Nonetheless, it was a worthwhile investment :)

Definitely recommend to try them out at LEAST once
and you will not be disappointed :)

You can find them at:

No. 14, Jalan 21/22,

Seapark,

46300 Petaling Jaya,

Malaysia.

Or you can visit their facebook page here :)

Deals that Steal :D

Hello my lovelies :3

Nowadays,
I actually see a lot more people on Groupon.
And yes, that includes my own parents O_O

So I actually DID try it,
by downloading the app :P
It was.
Addictive.

Like seriously,
looking at all these awesome deals for things that you love like
manicure,
hair treatments,
makeup classes,
dining deals,
etc.

Makes you just go OHMAIGAWD I CAN FINALLY SAVE MONEY.

But when you check the details,
you might find out that some are TOTALLY out of your range and it might require a bit of travelling :/

Then, I found out about Save22.com.my!

It's basically something like Groupon,
BUT they show you deals that are available in malls near you.
YES. MALLS.

Often enough, it's already hard enough to find whether there are deals going on unless you coincidentally stumble upon it while shopping,
this saves you walking around so much and also helps you know what deals you may have missed out when you weren't stalking the store's page enough.

I couldn't believe it either, so I decided to log onto save22.com and try it out for myself.
The famous Mid Valley Megamall is the closest mall to me.

Whenever I shop there, I usually don't stumble upon ANY deals. I'm so unlucky D:

So when I logged on, I found so many deals!
And I never knew there were all these deals ._. some shopper I am :P

Because I'm such a food lover I just had to check out the food first.
I stumbled upon this promotion for a cafe called BoardRiders.

I didn't even know this place existed OTL
Now I do :D
And it is a pretty good deal (Y)

Not only did this website give me a chance to find awesome deals, which also gave me the chance to shop better,
but it showed me a place that I never knew existed!

That even helps my blogging, indirectly :P

So check it out here, I'm pretty sure you can find deals for your needs too :D

Day out with Mummy + Music Cover :D

So had a shopping trip with mummy :)
at Sunway :D

Went to TeeToo,

and bought this awesome dress :D
What's better was that the changing rooms actually had like,
this pair of high heels that I THINK you can wear to test the clothes with o.o

Since the Astro On-the-Go thingy was going on,
I took the opportunity to take a few picture with some cosplayers.
And YES, I know what anime they're from - Fairy Tail

Went inside Kitschen next,
cause I sorta like what they have in there and
some of the clothes are at a pretty reasonable price :D

Came out with the tribal top,
Even though the sleeves are sometimes pretty annoying,
I still love it <3 p="">

So that's all,
sorry for the serious lack of updates :/

Nothing's been going on except assignments and exams D:
But semester break is starting AND I'll try my best to update daily like last time :D

AND,

I've recently made a cover,
and it IS my first official recorded cover,
so check it out if you can :D

It's only on soundcloud for now,
but if I have time,
I would definitely try to make a video :D

Till then,
just trust that it's really my voice.
:D

MOF Sweets & Coffee Cafe @ Sunway Pyramid

Had a shopping date with mom today at Sunway Pyramid,
and for lunch,
we decided to try a cafe that I've always wanted to try :D

MOF Sweets and Coffee cafe :3

Every table was given a prepared set of utensils..
Actually I took this picture because we were waiting for the food to come...

Finally! The food came :D
This is my mom's maki :3

And I had this,
Tori Karaage Bento aka Chicken Karaage Bento :D
I don't know what the lemon was for though ._.
The chicken was nice but the gyoza had quite a bit of a ginger taste :/
It kinda overpowered the meat taste that I was expecting :/

The flaw was that they only had green tea in a pot and not for individuals,
so unless you are with a friend and you guys are planning to stay for a LONG time to chit chat,
you either order their fruit/sweet drinks or live without drinks :/

We didn't get to order dessert because I was already SO FULL,
so I would actually just go back there to TRY their dessert cause the menu showed some really pretty pictures xD

So to visit them,
you can go to:

Pavillion
Lot 1.02.00,
Level 1  Pavilion
Kuala Lumpur
168, Jalan Bukit Bintang
55100 Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia.

Bandar Sunway
F1.67, First Floor,
Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall,
No. 3, Jalan PJS 11/15,
Petaling Jaya,

Taylor's CPU Dress Up Week! :D

I'm so so sorry for not updating.
And went on a surprise hiatus.

College has really been draining my energy
and the current situation is that the General Elections are TOMORROW.

But before I go into that,
I'm gonna post this SUPER SUPER overdue post :D

So,
as you all know,
I am in a pre-u programme called Canadian Pre-U aka CPU

And we had this week called
DRESS UP WEEK.

And it was really fun because everyone (including teachers)
actually dress up according to a theme so there's no need to feel shy and weird
:D

Day 1: Geek theme.
Also the yearbook photoshoot was going on
so you can expect A LOT of props :D

What would life be without friends who invade your phone and camwhore? :D

I also signed up for this game called Assassins.

Everyone who signs up will have a pin like this
and you're suppose to clip it onto your sleeve.

The goal of the game is to stealthily steal your targets pin.
It was like, self inflicted paranoia.
Sadly but luckily, I died on the first day
._.

Day 2: Mismatch

I didn't participate in this one cause I'm too OCD to be mismatched :/

Day 3: PYJAMA DAY.

This was one of the best days!
Why?
Cause we can wear pyjamas to school.
It's like, comfort
and you have a legit excuse to sleep in class :D

Had to camwhore :P

Then there was this photobooth,
where we are able to take pictures with props and costumes.
With a price of course :)

But it goes to a good cause :D

Day 4: Jerseys :D

Borrowed my dad's MU shirt,
and it was SUPER OVERSIZED.

I had such a hard time trying to make it look normally baggy :(

and Day 5: HARLEM SHAKE

I decided to be normal that day cause well, I've got nothing crazy to wear.
Unlike the pikachu :P

The awesome thing when you can play with all the props your friends bring :D

SO that's harlem shake :D

They did the Harlem Shake later that day too :)

I just had to take a picture with supposedly Darth Vadar :D

Meow :D

AND STITCH :D

Right,
so for Malaysia,
tomorrow is a big day because the General Elections are tomorrow.

I just want to wish you guys to stay safe :D
Vote for a better Malaysia :)

Jessica.
