Is it me, or am I getting the feeling that with each passing year the New Year becomes less exciting?
:/
I went for work,
and they had a Lucky Bag event.
What frustrated me so much was the fact that there are such customers who not only ignore your instructions but just frustrates you with questions where the answers had to be repeated.
Lucky Bag - A bag which contents are hidden and disclosed and BY RIGHT should be opened only AFTER you've bought it.
So it's like a Christmas Present. Only that it's a New Years present to yourself.
So let's think about it this way (I don't mean to insult or point fingers or anyone. It's just an observations. If you feel hurt, either you PERASAN, or you did it before but never thought about it), a Lucky Bag is like, a gift. A wrapped gift, with a surprise.
If you were to open it, isn't it RUINING the surprise, or potentially ruining someone else's?
If they were clothes, how would you know if they were of good quality and the correct sizes and has nice patterns etc?
That's the point. It's a LUCKY BAG. It's not right if you would purposely CREATE your own luck by peeping inside.
The sizes are written on the piece of paper OUTSIDE the bag. If you're still unsure then ask about what size would fit you best.
However the clothes look are ENTIRELY up to your LUCK. Please la, don't ruin the fun :/
I know this sounds like some spoilt person saying things like she herself has not done it or sinned (I have never bought a lucky bag before) but the thought of having lucky bags are meant to be fun and not troublesome.
Giving or selling the lucky bag should be a happy experience and not a troublesome one, for those who do follow the points about not opening them and peeking in them, don't you think they'd feel like it's not worth it anymore to have lucky bags since everyone's just opening them like cannibals? :/
On the other hand, HAPPY 2014!
I am not angry or anything at these people, just disappointed.

Something New with Style ;)
So ever since I started Media Arts,
I've been playing around with photoshop.
Recently I learnt how to use Illustrator, now moving on the photoshop.
(I'm sorry that I couldn't really learn just from YouTube, but I did try)
This was when I was really obsessed with Despicable Me 2,
I still didn't get the chance to watch it :(
But I was also just beginning to really try out photoshop :)
And this was what I did for my assignment for Media Arts,
in case you couldn't see,
It's meant the write J Designs.
The white space forms the "D" hahah
(But do let me know whether you can see it or not :) I would love some feedback!)
And, you would've seen this because I used this for my TEDxKL event :)
Simple design, but looks nice enough for me :D
Amazing what photoshop can do!
I'm learning more now because my cousin is really good at it too!
We now have so much more in common and our bond grows closer :P
Well,
I'm sorry for having nothing to post about lately
been pretty caught up with college :(
But if I do have any more designs I would really love to post them up here!! :D

Eye Opening; TEDxKL2013
The banner says all :3
I've been trying my hand at designing and photoshop,
so YES. I made that.
But the background picture was taken from the website itself :)
SO.
I'm sure you Malaysians would've heard of this event,
because I overheard some people saying they were from Penang and came all the way just for this
:O
btw, this took place in Mid Valley Megamall Exhibition Hall :)
It all starts out with registration, and the counter was open at 10.30am and there was already a giant queue ._.
But we were actually already fortunate enough to be one of the early ones cause the line just got longer.
There were about 1.8k people!!!
Since the event ACTUALLY starts at 1pm,
there were booths set up so you could check them out,
or just sit on a DOOF beanie listening to these people singing.
Each participant were given a goodie bag!!! :D
I chose red :P
and HiSHOP were giving out free gifts too!
Talk about awesome :3
There was also a "BEFORE I DIE" wall,
where you just get chalks and write down your wishes :P
At about 12.30pm,
we decided to go wait at the entrance.
This was what we had to go through ==
This was the problem.
PEOPLE. WAS. JUST. SHOVING.
They didn't even follow a queue.
People just rushed in like they were escaping from a zombie apocalypse!
(Okay, over exaggeration there :x)
Got in,
found ourselves some satisfactory seats
and just waited while staring at the screen.
Waiting.
p/s: It was my first TEDx event, so I was really REALLY excited!!!
There were three sessions,
and 12 speakers.
Unfortunately,
I did not know any of them.
But they still caught my attention and ideas and inspirations were still flying across the room.
Each speaker had their own "SketchPost"
I think they had someone sketch while the talks were going on.
I only took a photo of Zung's because...
1. There were TOO many people just... crowding x.x
2. His talk was one of the most inspiring, showing you that as long as you have the passion, everything else will come :)
When he talked about his life,
I teared when I saw the pictures.
(THANK GOD THE ROOM WAS DARK)
But seriously, I teared :')
Of course,
the other speakers were just as amazing.
There were all sorts of ideas:
1. Rubber Recycling
2. Curing Brain Cancer with NDV
3. Glowing Plants (IT'S REAL.)
4. Space based Solar Panels
5. 3D printer
and so many many more!
This is an artwork from another artist,
which amazed me and she showed me that you don't need to follow the rules.
Use your out of the world ideas and you can create the most beautiful pictures :)
psst: She did that scene on the place out of cucumbers btw :3
There were plenty more artwork and honestly,
I was hoping that I got the chance to get a headshot,
but.. 1.8k people wanted to as well,
so I gave up queueing :(
Looking through all their artwork and photography was amazing.
Don't ask me why,
it just magically connects :)
Hahah I sound so.. philosophical @.@
But I'm not. I just like the works.
Everyone has their own tastes right?
That was TEDxKL for me.
A real great experience.
Can't wait to go for TEDxYOUTH now :3
If you are interested, you can visit their youtube page and watch videos of all the talks :)
Just click here :)

Bon Odori 2013 ❤
I know this is late,
but I went for Bon Odori FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I've always wanted to go and see what it was like,
cause I like Japanese culture :3
So here's an awkward smile for the day xD
I went with 2 friends,
and met up with a few other people too! :D
Who knew so many of them were planning to go~
Met the guy in a yukata~
I wish I wore one, but I didn't have any and I had no cash :X
The lady who brought me here :3
By the way,
The Bon Odori festival was held at Matsushita Stadium in Shah Alam :)
Or Panasonic Stadium.
The rest of the photos were taken by my camera,
and I'm sorry for my bad photography skills.
There were so many cute kids wearing yukata's there I can't even...
The kids wouldn't just stay still for a picture though :/
There were a taiko performance too!
I have never seen such HUGE taiko's because I've only played the ones in the arcades
#failjess
And then,
there was the stage where the dancing takes place *plays grand opening music*
For those who don't know,
Bon Odori is a festival that is somewhat like the Chinese "Ching Ming" festival,
where they celebrate their ancestors etc.
So you can't cosplay or be disrespectful by overexposing your skin or something lid dat.
There will also be dancing where the dancers will be up on that stage and the people are welcome to join in as the moves are quite easy to follow.
You can just go and dance with your friends and family,
ITS REAL FUN!
OR
You can just bring along a picnic mat and sit on the grass chatting and bonding with your friends while you watch the dances and performances :D
Though I would suggest bringing along your own snacks/meals cause some most of the food there are quite expensive.
Though this year's festival is over,
you can always go next year :3
It was a great first experience for me~
Hope to see you there next year! :D

MOF Sweets & Coffee Cafe @ Sunway Pyramid
Had a shopping date with mom today at Sunway Pyramid,
and for lunch,
we decided to try a cafe that I've always wanted to try :D
MOF Sweets and Coffee cafe :3
Every table was given a prepared set of utensils..
Actually I took this picture because we were waiting for the food to come...
Finally! The food came :D
This is my mom's maki :3
And I had this,
Tori Karaage Bento aka Chicken Karaage Bento :D
I don't know what the lemon was for though ._.
The chicken was nice but the gyoza had quite a bit of a ginger taste :/
It kinda overpowered the meat taste that I was expecting :/
The flaw was that they only had green tea in a pot and not for individuals,
so unless you are with a friend and you guys are planning to stay for a LONG time to chit chat,
you either order their fruit/sweet drinks or live without drinks :/
We didn't get to order dessert because I was already SO FULL,
so I would actually just go back there to TRY their dessert cause the menu showed some really pretty pictures xD
So to visit them,
you can go to:
Pavillion
Lot 1.02.00,
Level 1 Pavilion
Kuala Lumpur
168, Jalan Bukit Bintang
55100 Kuala Lumpur,

Bandar Sunway
F1.67, First Floor,
Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall,
No. 3, Jalan PJS 11/15,
Petaling Jaya,

Taylor's CPU Dress Up Week! :D
I'm so so sorry for not updating.
And went on a surprise hiatus.
College has really been draining my energy
and the current situation is that the General Elections are TOMORROW.
But before I go into that,
I'm gonna post this SUPER SUPER overdue post :D
So,
as you all know,
I am in a pre-u programme called Canadian Pre-U aka CPU
And we had this week called
DRESS UP WEEK.
And it was really fun because everyone (including teachers)
actually dress up according to a theme so there's no need to feel shy and weird
:D
Day 1: Geek theme.
Also the yearbook photoshoot was going on
so you can expect A LOT of props :D
What would life be without friends who invade your phone and camwhore? :D
I also signed up for this game called Assassins.
Everyone who signs up will have a pin like this
and you're suppose to clip it onto your sleeve.
The goal of the game is to stealthily steal your targets pin.
It was like, self inflicted paranoia.
Sadly but luckily, I died on the first day
._.
Day 2: Mismatch
I didn't participate in this one cause I'm too OCD to be mismatched :/
Day 3: PYJAMA DAY.
This was one of the best days!
Why?
Cause we can wear pyjamas to school.
It's like, comfort
and you have a legit excuse to sleep in class :D
Had to camwhore :P
Then there was this photobooth,
where we are able to take pictures with props and costumes.
With a price of course :)
But it goes to a good cause :D
Day 4: Jerseys :D
Borrowed my dad's MU shirt,
and it was SUPER OVERSIZED.
I had such a hard time trying to make it look normally baggy :(
and Day 5: HARLEM SHAKE
I decided to be normal that day cause well, I've got nothing crazy to wear.
Unlike the pikachu :P
The awesome thing when you can play with all the props your friends bring :D
SO that's harlem shake :D
They did the Harlem Shake later that day too :)
I just had to take a picture with supposedly Darth Vadar :D
Meow :D
AND STITCH :D
Right,
so for Malaysia,
tomorrow is a big day because the General Elections are tomorrow.
I just want to wish you guys to stay safe :D
Vote for a better Malaysia :)

I Want to Go to Japan
Image taken from Google
This is not gonna be a food post or anything,
it's just a rant.. I think,
maybe a resolution.
The picture above shows..
Cherry Blossoms
And they are found in...
Japan
and this will tell you that,
I WANT TO GO TO JAPAN.
I'm so jealous of the people around who are all going to Japan,
I can't wait for my turn to go to Japan *crosses fingers*
It'll be the best dream of my life to go to Japan.
One of the ways I can go is..
study hard and find some way to get there.
really hope the Japanese lessons will prove useful one day
if I go to Japan
I want to go and see cherry blossoms.
I will get there.
I feel like complaining, yet..
I don't want to complain ._.
My jealousy of the people being able to go to Japan started when I was reading Cheeserland's blog.
It was normal for me to read about her going to Japan,
and I use it to update myself about the Japanese culture and all :x
Then,
I found out that my friends were going to Japan,
and some of them are already there and they are posting pictures on instagram!
I went all green eyed T.T
Then I found out even my lecturers have been to Japan..
It made me feel soooo jealous.
Dx
Thus,
this rant.
and the resolution,
that I will get there one day.

Earth Hour 2013
Sorry for the lack of updates!
And it's not gonna be a food post today.
So last Thursday,
I did a little volunteering,
cause I need to and I've never done it before.
IT'S A PART OF GROWING UP :')
So me and mah buddies volunteered for WWF,
in the occasion of EARTH HOUR.
This is a pre-Earth Hour event.
Just gotta take a picture before we start working :P
So,
Earth Hour.
This is an annual event that has been going on for 9 years,
and it is a global event
where people would switch off their lights for 1 hour.
This is to raise awareness about saving the planet.
This event is mainly by WWF aka the World Wildlife Fund
:D
So we had to collect pledges from people,
all you have to do is fill up a survey and Digi Telecommunications will donate RM1 to WWF
(only applies in Malaysia, I think ._.)
So those who haven't pledged,
you can pledge at Sunway Pyramid or at Sunway Giza.
IT'S ABSOLUTELY FREE.
So go do a good deed today! :D
Those who are interested in the event itself,
Earth Hour will be on the 23 March 2013 @ 8.30pm
For those wanting to go to the event at Sunway Pyramid,
head to the main entrance as there will be lots of performances and stuff! :D

Rasa Utara @ Mid Valley :D
So sorry for the lack of updates :(
Been having assignments...
and they just keep coming! Dx
So...
had breakfast with mum and sis at...
RASA UTARA @ Mid Valley :)
I actually heard that it was pretty good(forgot who told me)
but sad the say,
I was a little disappointed :/
Their breakfast menu only consisted of TWO SETS.
Mee Siam
or
Nasi Lemak
The set comes with a free drink
Coffee, tea, or teh tarik if I remember correctly.
Since I don't really drink any of those,
I was thinking of ordering a Milo,
but to change,
we had to pay the original price for the Milo which was real expensive.
So I went with the coffee..
There's the cup right there.
I ordered the nasi lemak,
mainly cause I had a craving that day for nasi lemak.
Sadly,
the service was rather slow.
And the food quality is not much to my liking...
The chicken was a quite dry,
and the rice was too soft for my taste buds.
You can accumulate points for your BCard for this though.
I have not tried out the other meals in this place yet,
but currently,
I don't think I'd be going back there :/

Peekaboo! :D
This is just a random update so you know that I have not forgotten about my blog xD
MEET MY BABIES XD
Mia(in pink) and Tyler(in blue)
Okay, they're not real,
but they are my friends assignments,
and sadly they're not my godkids anymore,
so boo :(
But it was fun having them around!
Assignments and homework are starting to pile up!
Hope I can stand the pressure!
Buhbye!
Will update when I find more food xD

Crayon Burger @ SS15
School has been pretty busy lately ><
I still haven't finished ALL of my homework Dx
UGH.
So we tried out this place,
called Crayon Burger x3
And we actually thought it would be something like Burger Lab (though none of us have tried it before)
So far, it was on a good perception,
I mean,
look at the doodles ><
But I didn't really expect colourful burgers,
like literally.
This is mine.
It has nachos, chicken, lettuce and cheese.
It was SLOPPY man ><
But I really didn't expect a GREEN burger.
It's said to be a vege bun so I don't know whether there is a lot of colouring added.
This is Jonathan's,
it was RED.
Your eyes are not deceiving you,
it's literally RED.
The bun is said to have used Red Yeast,
so yeah..
his has hashbrowns in it.
Again, it's a real messy burger.
They use a number system so you can get yourself a table while waiting for your food.
It was real interesting,
and the service was pretty fast.
Also,
the restaurant was pretty much filled up so seating may be a little difficult.
Nonetheless,
the food quality is about a 7/10 for me,
mainly because it was really sloppy and the coloured buns made me doubt what was in it.
It's really cute though,
having colourful burgers,
brings colour into your life x3
For a meal anyway.
Here's where they're at :D
Crayon Burger
38, Jalan SS 15/4,
Subang Jaya,
Selangor.
